Scarlett Johansson is now the highest grossing actress of all time.
On Wednesday, the 31-year-old actress ranked in the top 10 on the Box Office Mojo site’s for the top grossing film stars in Hollywood, earning a total of $3.3 billion dollars in ticket sales during her career. (RELATED: Scarlett Johansson Just Went On A Rant About Planned Parenthood)
The “Avenger” star has talked about the wage gap in Hollywood and said in a recent interview that she was “very fortunate.”
“There’s something icky about me having that conversation unless it applies to a greater whole,” Johansson said. “I am very fortunate, I make a really good living, and I’m proud to be an actress who’s making as much as many of my male peers at this stage.”
“I think every woman has [been underpaid], but unless I’m addressing it as a larger problem, for me to talk about my own personal experience with it feels a little obnoxious,” she added. “It’s part of a larger conversation about feminism in general.”
Johansson is not only the youngest star on the list taking the tenth spot, but the only female. All the other high earning spots go to male actors with Harrison Ford, Tom Hanks, Morgan Freeman, and Samuel L. Jackson leading the pack.
