young woman was raped Thursday at a concert at the Bråvalla festival as Swedish police are preparing to roll out anti-groping armbands

According to a report from Afton Bladet, the woman was at Zara Larsson’s concert when a man approached her and raped her from behind. After the rape was over, the woman ran from the concert and reported it. She didn’t even look behind as she ran, police spokesman Christer Fuxborg told Afton Bladet.

What this means is that police don’t have an accurate description of the perpetrator, and so the police are urging members of the public to come forward with any information they might have. As it stands right now, without this information, the investigation is on shaky grounds.

There are surveillance cameras covering the concert, but police are not confident they’ll be able to pick up the rape on the tapes.

In addition to the rape, four other women were also molested at the concert, one of which likely also occurred during the Larsson concert. Police don’t have any suspected perpetrators.

In response to reports of rape, Larsson tweeted out to the unknown rapist Friday morning, “You deserve to burn in hell.”

To help curb the problem of rampant sexual assault, the police have launched an effort to hand out so-called “anti-groping” armbands.

“We’re hoping mainly that this will get boys to think twice. A lot of them don’t seem to realize that this is a crime,” national police chief Dan Eliasson said, according to The Local.

The effort of handing out anti-groping armbands at youth events this summer could be seen as an attempt to rehabilitate the reputation of the police, which is under fire for failing to release reports of sexual assault and rape at festivals in 2014 and 2015.

Police reportedly withheld these reports to prevent an explosion of anti-immigrant sentiment, as many of the alleged gropers and molesters were Afghan refugees.
