Former Democratic Governor of Vermont Howard Dean gloated on Tuesday that the FBI’s decision to not pursue charges against Hillary Clinton was “a win for the Clinton campaign.”

Appearing on “MSNBC Live,” Dean said, “Look, I think this is a win for the Clinton campaign, I think a lot of the right-wingers will be disappointed, but the fact is, I don’t think without seeing the full transcript of the interview be James Comey that we can make judgments about it.” (RELATED: FBI Recommends ‘NO CHARGES’ For Hillary Clinton [VIDEO])

When pressed about FBI Director James Comey calling Clinton “extremely careless,” Dean attempted to downplay that part of the investigation arguing that “Well, she herself has said that she regretted doing this and she wouldn’t do it again, and I take that at its face value, but the fact is, except for the right-wingers who are going to push this for political reasons, this matter is over.” (RELATED: ‘EXTREMELY CARELESS’ — FBI Director Comey Says Clinton Mishandled Classified Info [VIDEO])

During Comey’s press conference, he said that the investigation had uncovered that Clinton sent or received 110 emails that were classified at the time of sending.
