MSNBC breaking news anchor Brian Williams referred to President Barack Obama as “President Reagan” on Wednesday.

After Obama concluded his speech on Afghanistan, Williams said, “President Reagan at the White House, Brian Williams here with you in New York. The subject was Afghanistan. Let’s go to Ron Allen in the White House briefing room.”

Williams apologized for the mistake a minute later.

After Allen finished his segment, Williams said, “Jack Jacobs is also with us, Jack is a Medal of Honor recipient, decorated Vietnam combat veteran. Jack, I understand I just dated us both by talking about President Reagan at the White House. I was reading that name while talking. President Obama, of course at the White House.”
