Nick Jonas is front and center in the brutal first trailer for “Goat,” an upcoming film that delves into the trying world of fraternity hazing. Check out the full trailer below.

Jonas stars as Brett Land, a popular fraternity man in college whose relationship with his 19-year-old brother, Brad, is put through the ringer when the latter pledges his big brother’s fraternity. The film is based on Brad Land’s gripping memoir and examines the physical and psychological toll of hazing. From the brief trailer alone, audiences can see the movie’s grueling physical torture on full display as little brother Brad is pushed to his limits.

“Goat” also stars James Franco, Ben Schnetzer, Daniel Flaherty and Virginia Gardner. “Goat” debuted in January at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, where it was met with positive reviews and was even nominated for the Grand Jury Prize. The movie adds yet another entry to Jonas’ growing resume as an actor, which already includes roles in “Kingdom,” “Scream Queens” and “Hawaii Five-O.”

“Goat” is scheduled to open digitally and on demand on Sept. 23.
