New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter has finally settled down as the former shortstop married model Hannah Davis on Saturday.
E! News reports that Jeter, 42, and Davis, 26, took the plunge together at the Meadowood Napa Valley Resort in California in a modest ceremony that included close family and friends. According to Us Weekly, Davis sported a gorgeous Vera Wang gown while Jeter was decked out in a traditional black suit. The ceremony lasted roughly 20 minutes.
Jeter and Davis had been dating for three years prior to their engagement back in October.
“They are extremely excited and in love,” one source told E! News. “They can’t wait to spend their lives together.”
But they aren’t the only members of their new little family. The couple also own a 100-plus pound Italian Mastiff named Kane. The future Hall of Famer revealed in a post with The Players’ Tribune that the pup “was a Christmas gift last year from my fiancee.”
Family seems to be very important to Davis as she told Maxim earlier this year that “trying to impress you with material things? I think that’s lame. I wanted someone whose family is a big, important part of their life.”
Does that mean kids are in the couple’s future?
“I mean, I want to have a family,” Jeter told NBC News in 2014. “Who knows when it’s gonna be? But I look forward to it.”
