Dallas Police Chief David Brown told CNN’s Jake Tapper Sunday morning that Micah Johnson, the man who ambushed and murdered five Dallas police officers Thursday night, wrote the initials “RB” on a wall in his own blood before dying.

“At the scene where he was killed he also wrote some lettering in blood on the walls, which leads us to believe he was wounded on the way up the stairwell on the second floor of the El Centro building and where we detonated the device to end the standoff there was more lettering written in his own blood,” Brown explained.

“We are trying to decipher,” what exactly he wrote, Brown explained. “But he wrote the letters ‘RB.'”

Brown further stated police are still trying to decipher what the letters stand for by “looking at things in his home” but “we haven’t determined that,” yet.

On Friday, Brown stated in a press conference that Johnson had been killed by a remote explosive detonated by the police bomb squad.
