Former Virginia Tech football star Marcus Vick has been sentenced to a year in jail for resisting arrest.

Vick had been arrested for felony assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and obstruction of justice, but got a plea deal which resulted in him only pleading guilty to resisting arrest, according to TMZ Sports. (RELATED: Former Football Star Vick Arrested)

However, Vick will only serve about another week because 11 months of his year long sentence have been suspended and he has been credited for 19 days already served. (SLIDESHOW: 12 Times Russell Wilson’s Wife Ciara Was Absolutely Stunning)

Vick, who is the brother of NFL star Mike Vick, washed out of the NFL before making any real impact, and has had trouble with the law on previous occasions.
