Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and musical artist Ciara were married in a low-key ceremony last week. While the venue was gorgeous and all of their family and friends were there to share the moment, Wilson’s favorite part was his beautiful bride.
“To share a special moment and a lifetime with somebody that you truly love and really cares about you is amazing,” Wilson told E! News. “That’s what everybody is searching for. I found that. I was fortunate and blessed to find that and the best part was watching her walk down the aisle.
“Just to see her face and the long train she had. And then Earth, Wind and Fire took the night away.”
Ciara was said to be sporting an impressive custom Roberto Cavalli Couture gown by Peter Dundas while her son, Future, rocked a custom Giorgio Armani suit.
Despite the happy nuptials, Wilson isn’t taking too much time off. He’s preparing to host Nickelodeon’s annual awards show for the second consecutive year. He’ll be joined by such stars as Michael Strahan, Nick Cannon, Stephen Curry, Cam Newton and others.
“We’re excited that we have the ESPYs this week. We have Kids’ Choice Sports. It doesn’t get any bigger or better,” Wilson said. “To be able to share all these moments with these kids, it’s going to be really special.”
