A couple in Pennsylvania refused to sit next to a group of police officers at a restaurant, so in return the cops paid the couple’s bill.

A couple came into Eat N’ Park restaurant Saturday, but when offered a seat next to the Homestead cops, they refused.

“A table goes to sit down and the guy looks over at one of the police officers and was like, ‘Nah I don’t want to sit here.'” Jesse Meyers, a waiter at the restaurant, told WTAE. “So they got moved completely opposite, away from the police officers.”

“Sir, your check was paid for by the police officers that you didn’t want to sit next to,” the officers wrote on the receipt. “Thank you for your support. I left a $10.00 tip too.”

Two of the cops decided to pay the couple’s bill of $28.50 with a $10 tip. As the cops left, one of the people who had refused to sit near the cops flashed them a quick smile.
