Speaking with reporters in New York City on Friday, Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick Mike Pence said, “I couldn’t be more honored” with the selection.
As he left his hotel, Pence said, “I’m very excited. I’m very humbled and very grateful.”
Earlier in the day, Trump tweeted that Pence would be his nominee.

Since Friday was also the deadline for him to get off the Indiana ballot in his gubernatorial reelection, now that he will be running along side Trump, when asked what his message was for the people of Indiana, Pence said, “We love Indiana. We love our country. And my family and I couldn’t be more honored to have the opportunity to run with and serve with the next president of the United States.”
