Troubled NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel said that he won’t rule out drinking again.

The former Heisman winner went sober on July 1, but in a statement to The Washington Post he indicated his sobriety likely won’t be permanent. (RELATED: Meet The Playboy Model Johnny Manziel Is Vacationing With In Mexico [PHOTOS])

His statement to the Washington Post reads:

I’m actually doing well. I have good friends around me supporting what I do and I try to support them in what they want to do. I’m not saying I’m never drinking again, but for now just mostly being healthy. I’ve got a killer gym in my house and I can spend time working out. I’m interested in doing a lot of different things in my life — including football — but, right now, I’m just exploring options and waiting to see what the future holds.

The former Browns quarterback has appeared to be making great strides in his attempt to get sober, and his recent posts on Instagram appear to show he is making some serious progress. (SLIDESHOW: Derek Jeter’s New Wife Loves Showing Off Skin)
