Who will be the next major character to die on “Game of Thrones?” With Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) finally heading to Westeros, Cersei (Lena Headey) sitting atop the Iron Throne and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) being named King in the North, fans can rest assured that the body count will continue to rise.
E! News caught up with some cast members at San Diego Comic Con over the weekend and posed this same question to them. After all, when you play the game of thrones, you either win or you die.
“Cersei should die, but probably won’t die,” Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, said. “I don’t think she’ll die. We need a bad guy on Game of Thrones…Will die? Maybe Sansa, maybe Sansa will die!”
Iwan Rheon, who played the vile and hated Ramsay Bolton until his death in season six’s “Battle of the Bastards,” served up an under the radar choice. He said he hopes to see Aeron Greyjoy (Michael Feast) be the first character offed in season seven.
“Just because I didn’t like him,” he said. “Because the actor did a good job, you know what I mean?”
Unfortunately for “Thrones” fans, season seven has been delayed until summer 2017. That means a few extra months until we can find out which cast member was right.
