Pope Francis fell to the floor Thursday during a televised mass in Poland.
Pope Francis missed a step down the platform and took a tumble as priests tried to help him. A spokesman said Pope Francis is fine, The Associated Press reports.
“He is in good condition,” Czestochowa Archbishop Waclaw Depo told The Associated Press. “He did not even complain at all. He never said a word. Also the homily showed that the pope has strength and this strength he gets from the people.”
The fall occurred at the Jasna Gora monastery, which houses the famous “Black Madonna of Czestochowa” icon. Video of the incident shows Pope Francis quickly get back to his feet.
