Britney Spears claims she’s never met Taylor Swift.
The singer appeared on the “Kyle and Jackie O Show” and played an innocent pick-and-choose game of “Who Would You Rather?” When she was asked who she’d rather sit next to on a 24-hour flight between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, Spears said she couldn’t answer.
“I don’t know! I don’t know, that’s hard. They’re both so cool, I don’t know,” she said. “I’ve briefly met Katy Perry at the Smurfs movie premiere. Maybe because I’ve met Katy Perry I would say Taylor Swift, because I’ve never met her before.”
Fans were quick to note that Britney has met Taylor on multiple occasions.
The two were first introduced at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards where they posed together for a picture. The pair had also met years earlier.
Twitter was quick to point out the singer’s mistake.
