NBC News spoke with supporters of Donald Trump ahead of a rally in Ohio Monday and got an earful on media bias in regards to the situation with Khazir and Ghazala Khan, who have been attacking Trump for four days in nearly every media outlet.

“I know he cares about veterans,” one supporter said.

“Well, the dad was very, very cruel to Trump in his speech, and the son died years ago,” said another. “And Trump is not against the military, and not against this man and his family. But this man used that as a sounding point at the Democratic Convention and Trump is just trying to state his position that he’s against Islamic terrorists. It’s just getting all blown out of proportion. Trump’s a good man.”

“The news media lies, constantly,” a third man said. “They tell us lies. Everything happens because of the lies in the news media.”

“What he’s basically saying is he’s trying to keep certain, how do you say, people out of the country until they can be vetted,” a fourth supporter explained. “He has changed his position, he’s not telling Muslims they can’t come. You tell me what the media’s doing, and what Hillary’s doing, by basically distorting the issue.”

“I told the LA Times I’d vote for Trump unless he murdered somebody, but if he murdered the right person I might still vote for him,” the third man said.
