Several refugees in Germany landed in the hospital after beating the living daylights out of each other in an all-out brawl at an asylum center.
It’s unclear what triggered the fight, but a video posted on Tuesday of the incident shows multiple refugees at an asylum center in Dortmund, Germany, smashing each other with chairs, prompting police to show up to see what was going on.
The video first showed refugees shoving other refugees around, but the situation quickly escalated when a couple of the migrants realized chairs were more effective weapons. In one scene, a refugee dealt a crushing blow by coming up from behind and slamming another refugee to the ground with a chair.
At least eight people were involved in the clash: seven men and one woman between the ages of 14 and 37, Kronen Zeitung reports.
Five people were hospitalized with minor injuries. One of them was the 33-year-old woman.
Police have since launched a criminal investigation to determine what exactly led to the incident.
In a local waiting room, several people clashed,” a police spokeswoman said. “A verbal dispute led to a physical confrontation. Witnesses said chairs were used. ”
