Jennifer Garner appeared on NBC’s “Today” Thursday morning where she gave a candid explanation of her current relationship with Ben Affleck.
“We are definitely a modern family,” Garner said.
Garner and Affleck split up in the summer of 2015 amid cheating rumors chasing Big Ben. However, they continue to live together in L.A. as they attempt to co-parent their three children: Violet (10), Seraphina (7) and Samuel (4).
Earlier this summer, the family traveled together to Europe, spurring speculation that the two A-listers had gotten back together. But Garner quickly put those rumors to bed.
“Ben was working in London on Justice League and I felt like, ‘Well, the kids should have that experience,'” she said. “And he and I are great friends and we just all went en masse. The kids and I had an amazing time, and he worked hard and got to join us for some. I want them to see everything’s OK.”

Several outlets continued to report that the couple had reconciled and were planning a romantic getaway, but E! News shot that news down thanks to an inside source.
“There are no plans for a second honeymoon anywhere. They are 100 percent still separated and focused on co-parenting for the kids’ sake.”
“Today’s” Natalie Morales commented that it’s “really admirable” how amicable Garner and Affleck have been throughout this process and how they have put their children first.
“It has to be. You don’t have a choice,” Garner explained. “It has to be. … We’re doing really well.”
Garner can next be seen in “Nine Lives,” which hits theaters Friday. Affleck’s next film, “The Accountant,” is scheduled to be released on Oct. 14.
