In a recent interview on Chicago 560’s “Morning Answer,” Paul Nehlen — the Wisconsin businessman looking to unseat House Speaker Paul Ryan in the upcoming election — proposed deporting all Muslims living in the United States.

“You lie to the infidel,” Nehlen stated in reference to possible undercover, radical Islamic terrorists living in the country. “You lie if you have to” in order to avoid detection.

“If you lie, how do you vet something like that?” he asked.

Host Dan Proft responded with a question of his own.

“Then how do you implement the test that you want to implement?” he posed. “Are you suggesting that we deport all of the Muslims in this country.”

“I’m suggesting we have a discussion about it, that’s for sure,” Nehlen countered. “I am absolutely suggesting … we should be monitoring every mosque.”

Later in the interview, Nehlen explained that “Islam is not just a religion. It’s a political system. It’s got a different set of rules.”
