No, Angelina Jolie Is Not Headed To DC To Teach At Georgetown

Angelina Jolie is not headed to D.C. to teach at Georgetown University.

Despite what you might have read or heard, the 41-year-old actress will not be continuing her visiting professor assignment when she leaves the London School of Economics after teaching a class there in the fall, according to E! “Georgetown’s Institute for Women, Peace and Security is recognized around the world for its work to advance and promote the role of women in peace and security,” the statement from Georgetown University read. “We enjoy a partnership with the London School of Economics as part of that work, where Angelina Jolie and William Hague are scheduled to teach a class in the fall.” (RELATED: Angelina Jolie Poised To Teach At London School Of Economics)

“There are no current plans for Ms. Jolie to teach at Georgetown, but Angelina Jolie and William Hague have an open invitation to share their experiences and perspectives at Georgetown anytime they’re able,” the statement added.

In May, news broke that Jolie would be teaching a class in London that focused on women’s issues and “developing strategies to promote gender equality and enhance women’s economic, social and political participation and security.”
