Carmelo Anthony jumped past Michael Jordan on the all-time Team USA scoring list in a 113-69 win against Venezuela Monday.

Anthony now sits in third place on the list. He recorded 14 points in the win and gave the team a huge lift off the bench to get them going before the half.

Anthony is playing in his fourth Olympic Games and is the undisputed leader of Team USA. He is the only American basketball player to be selected for the Olympic team four times. And now, he has surpassed the greatest basketball player of all time in Team USA scoring.

The New York Knicks shooting guard is often criticized for his play in the NBA, but when it comes to Team USA, Melo has no critics. Although he doesn’t have any NBA championships or MVP awards, his USA Basketball legacy is immensely impressive.

If the American team continues its dominance, Anthony will become the only Team USA basketball player with four Olympic medals.
