Donald Trump compared Hillary Clinton to disgraced Democratic governor Rob Blagojevich as well as called her tenure as secretary of state “pay-for-play.”

During a campaign rally in Abingdon, Virginia, the Republican nominee discussed the recent release of 1,000 of Clintons emails as well as the 33,000 personal emails she deleted from her time as secretary of state.

Trump said, “We have to see the 33,000. Can you imagine? Remember she said, I think it was for her wedding, the wedding of Chelsea. And it was for yoga classes. 33,000 e-mails. That’s a lot of yoga. That’s a lot of yoga.” (RELATED: Hillary Aide Cheryl Mills OK’d Oil Deal That Put $500K In Bill’s Pocket)

“But a couple of very bad ones came out,” Trump said. “It’s called pay-for-play. And some of these were really, really bad and illegal if it’s true, it’s illegal. You are paying and you’re getting things.”

“I watched yesterday because of ‘The Apprentice,’ Blagojevich. Right? Governor Blagojevich. 14 years in jail. And you know some people think, okay, some people think it is crazy. Look at what she’s done,” Trump said. In 2010, Blagojevich appeared on “Celebrity Apprentice” after he attempted to sell Barack Obama’s vacant senate seat in 2008.

Later during the rally, Trump argued, “It came out that her people, pay-for-play and very big stories today. The problem is it will be big stories for about two minutes and then they’re going to drop it because the media is so totally dishonest.”

After the applause subsided, Trump said, “If that were me, the story that just came out this morning, and really hidden from some of the major newspapers, hidden, if that were me, that would be the biggest story in the history of the various papers. They’d go quadruple spacing. But with her it’s just terrible. I mean some of them covered it big-league but some of them are just really refusing to report the facts. And I think it is going to get worse and worse though because I assume more stuff will come out. but this was big stuff. Pay-for-play. It’s illegal. I mean it is illegal and we’ll see what happens with it, folks. We’ll see what happens with it but it is very serious stuff.”
