The Most Secure Alexa Product Is The Tap

The primary issue identified by Amazon Alexa skeptics is the fact that the popular Echo is “always on.” Because the speaker-cum-personal assistant answers every beck and call, it is constantly listening to what is being said, waiting for an order.

The Tap, on the other hand, comes with no such license. That version of the Alexa personal assistant only answers commands when you “tap” it (hence the name). It is also designed to be portable, so it does not need to remain connected to a power source. All in all, the Tap is a better bet than the Echo. And right now, the Tap is actually on sale.

Amazon is notoriously stingy with deals on its Alexa speakers, so this is big. Right now, you can save $15 on a Tap, a discount normally reserved by the e-retailer for occasions such as Black Friday.
