The United States boxer was hoping to return from her first Olympic Games in Rio with a medal to prove her critics wrong. Unfortunately Mayer fell short of that goal Monday with a loss to Russian boxer Anastasiia Beliacova in the women’s light quarterfinals. We hope to see her back in the ring again soon.
She’s representing the red, white and blue pretty well.
