Kevin Durant and the U.S. men’s basketball team finished at the top of the podium Sunday in Rio after beating Serbia 99-66 in the gold medal game. Most people might celebrate with champagne, but Kevin Durant just wants a damn brewski!
“Sometimes you got your head so deep in your homework that you forget to look up and enjoy what’s going on,” Durant wrote in an Instagram post after the win. “Gold medalist, it’s quiet for everything else right now. Damn, I need a brewski!!”
Durant caught a lot of heat over the summer after deciding to leave Oklahoma City to join the Golden State Warriors. It seems he may have been blocking out all the noise down in Rio and he’s finally ready to enjoy the offseason after the United States’ Olympic success.
