Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton plans to slam her Republican opponent by describing Donald Trump as inextricably attached to the “alt-right” movement. Clinton will make her remarks Thursday in Reno, Nevada.

Clinton, her campaign says, will outline “dangers of Trump’s divisive ‘alt-right’ candidacy…” and talk about his advisors’ connections to the movement.

“This ‘alt-right’ brand is embracing extremism and presenting a divisive and dystopian view of America, which should concern all Americans, regardless of party,” the Clinton camp said in a statement. “Clinton will contrast Donald Trump’s divisive views and dangerous temperament with her vision of an America that is stronger together and where everyone has a role to play in the future.”

The Clinton campaign began to target Trump over the alt-right, or “alternative right” as a result of Trump hiring former Breitbart News CEO Stephen Bannon to lead his campaign.

Breitbart News, a conservative news site, publicly embraced the alt-right in the last two years, describing the movement as “amorphous” and misunderstood by beltway establishment types who brand it as a vessel for anti-Semitism and white supremacy among other elements.

“Young, creative and eager to commit secular heresies, they have become public enemy number one to beltway conservatives — more hated, even, than Democrats or loopy progressives,” Breitbart’s Milo Yiannopoulos describes the alt-right movement as, while others see it as nationalistic and populist.

The numerous interpretations of the alt-right from different political factions have led to relative confusion and lack of one solid definition, leaving an opportunity for the Clinton campaign to use its large megaphone to tell voters, unaware of the alt-right, what they say the movement actually is.

Clinton is expected to deliver her remarks about Trump and the alt-right at the student center of Truckee Meadows Community College.
