John Dickerson, host of CBS’s “Face the Nation,” on Sunday referred to “11 million undocumented workers,” yet thousands of illegal aliens are imprisoned.
It is unknown exactly how many illegal immigrants are in the United States and most estimate between 11 million to 12 million. But, as Ann Coulter has pointed out, illegal aliens don’t have the best record of answering government surveys. She believes there are closer to 30 million illegal immigrants in the U.S.
Illegal immigrants made up 36.7 percent of federal sentences in Fiscal Year 2014. There were 23,552 non-citizens in federal penitentiary in calendar year 2014. In California in 2010, illegal aliens made up 12.7 percent of the prison population and 7.1 percent of the state population.
