Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence told CNN Sunday that the media has spent more time discussing one of Donald Trump’s tweets than they have spent talking about what the Clinton’s have done in the last 30 years.

On Saturday Trump tweeted: “Dwyane Wade’s cousin was just shot and killed walking her baby in Chicago. Just what I have been saying. African-Americans will VOTE TRUMP!”

Nykea Aldridge, Wade’s cousin, was caught in a crossfire and gunned down in Chicago while walking her infant daughter in a stroller on Friday, CNN reported.

“State of the Union” host Jake Tapper asked Pence if Trump’s tweet was “a presidential reaction.”

“A lot of you people in the media spend more time talking about what Donald Trump said and tweeted in the last three days than you do focusing on what the Clintons have been up to for the last 30 years,” Pence responded.

“On this, look, Donald Trump has a plain-spoken way about him. And the tragedy of a mother pushing her child on the streets of Chicago, being shot and killed as Nykea Aldridge was just breaks my heart,” Pence said.
