Bruce Levell, the Executive Director for the National Diversity Coalition for Trump, said on MSNBC Monday that the LGBT community in Atlanta is “very happy” that Donald Trump has shown he wants to protect “all citizens.”

“When he came to Atlanta, and he spoke at the Fox Theater,” Levell explained. “The Fox Theater, you know, is an inner-part of the city in Atlanta which has the highest concentration of the LGBT community.”

“I actually happened to be at that rally, and I met a lot of people that came there that wanted to listen to Donald Trump that was part of the LGBT community,” he continued. “They were very happy with the fact that a Republican candidate even came out and said, ‘hey, I’m going to protect you. I’m going to protect your right to be who you are as an American citizen, where you don’t have to worry about being attacked because of who you are or where your race is or what your sexual preference is.'”

“I thought that was humongous in terms of a Republican candidate and great leadership on Donald Trump for stepping up.”
