Conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly passed away Monday afternoon at age 92 after a long bout with illness.

Schlafly founded the Eagle Forum in 1972 and fought actively against modern feminism. Schlafly’s book “A Choice Not an Echo” sold millions of copies and Schlafly endorsed Donald Trump for president earlier this year.

Her birthday was this past month and Schlafly had been writing columns as recently as last week. It is unknown at this time what illness killed her.
