Tim Tebow is off the market. Now let Tebowmania commence.
The former NFL quarterback and Florida standout has signed a deal with the New York Mets to play professional baseball. He will start his baseball career where many unproven baseball players do, in the minor leagues.
According to FOX Sports MLB Insider Ken Rosenthal, about eight teams were interested in signing the Heisman Trophy winner before the Mets sealed the deal.

Tebow will begin his professional baseball career in the Instructional League where the Mets hope he will develop into a better baseball player.
His performance at a showcase in August showed that he has the power to hit in the majors, but he “also struggled a bit in the field and against live pitching against two former major leaguers,” FOX Sports reports.
