The 48-year-old late night host was asked what it was like to interview the Republican nominee during his own interview with the Hollywood Reporter.

“Donald Trump is a great talk show guest,” Kimmel said. “He is everything you could possibly want. He is totally unguarded, he does not seem to care about offending people, he is so different from almost everybody else.” (RELATED: The Weeknd Cancels Performance Because Of Donald Trump)

“You can ask him anything, he might get mad but you can ask him anything,” he said. “I have to say it’s a pleasure to interview the guy, it really is, because almost everything out of his mouth is interesting.”

“For me, I’m interested in even the most minute details of their lives and their thinking process and I don’t know if it’s as interesting to everybody else but if I was given like three hours with Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, I want to know what they eat for breakfast and I want to know what their daily routine is,” he continued.

“I’m interested in all of those tiny little things.” (RELATED: Donald Trump Heads To Hollywood To Fundraise With The Stars)

“I’m not sure why, exactly. I don’t know if I’m interested in them because I feel like I might learn something about them or about myself by adding all this stuff up and forming kind of a psychological profile.”

“Donald Trump canceled on us last night,” Kimmel said at the time. “It’s unclear [why]. He said he had a political event. I don’t know what happened.”

“We’re delighted needless to say,” he added sarcastically. “If you’re going to cancel on a talk show the time to do it is around 8 p.m. the night before. Especially when you travel 3,000 miles.”
