Exec Admits ABC Made ‘Mistakes’ With Strahan Departure

ABC executive Ben Sherwood admitted the network made “mistakes” with Michael Strahan’s departure from “Live.”

“I have most definitely thought about it, and I think that enough has been said about it,” Sherwood said. “We made some mistakes, we fixed them quickly and we moved on. In April, news came out that Strahan was leaving the talk show to go full-time with “Good Morning America.” Co-host Kelly Ripa skipped her show the next few days as she felt blindsided by the news of his departure.
