Donald Trump let Jimmy Fallon tousle his hair on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” Thursday night.

“Donald, I want to ask you, because the next time I see you, you could be the president of the United States,” Fallon said. “I just wanted to know if there’s something we could do that’s just not presidential really, or something that we can do now that we’re just both civilians.”

“I’ll be gentle.”

During his interview with Fallon, Trump repeated his request that there be no moderators at the debates between him and Hillary Clinton.

“The concept of having us both sit onstage — or standing, I like standing much better — standing onstage and just debating … I think would be fascinating for people.”

He also denied the rumor that he’s embraced Vladimir Putin.

“I don’t like him. I don’t dislike him. I don’t have any feelings one way or the other.”

Trump also said he never saw himself getting into politics.

“I really never did,” he said. “But I really wanted to do it and I just decided to do it. I gave up a lot by doing this. It’s a tough thing. There’s nothing easy about it.”
