John Legend went on a rant after Donald Trump Jr. used a bowl of poisoned skittles to explain what he called the current “Syrian refugee problem.”

“Man, the rancid apple does not fall far from the tree,” the 37-year-old singer tweeted Monday night, attacking the son of Donald Trump in multiple posts. (RELATED: John Legend: The National Anthem Is ‘Weak’)

“If I had a bowl of skittles and I told you just three would kill you, would you take a handful,” the post read. “That’s our Syrian refugee problem.”

“By that logic, you would take everyone’s guns away,” Legend tweeted. “Because someone is gonna kill somebody at some point. But I guess that doesn’t count.” (RELATED: John Legend: Trump ‘Utterly Unqualified To Be President’)

“Oh and human beings fleeing oppression and terror aren’t skittles,” he added.

“There’s a tiny chance that anyone could be a murderer,” he continued. “Get rid of everyone now!!! #trumplogic”

“Maybe Trump is anti-refugee but pro-poison Skittles,” he tweeted “Trump Campaign Pushes Food Safety Rollbacks, Then Deletes.”

“Excellent analysis of the stupid skittles analogy,” he added.
