Four unnamed men attempted to beat up former NFL Linebacker and Illinois state Senator Napoleon Harris earlier this month.

Harris gave delivery guys at his Beggar’s Pizza franchise the night off one night, and delivered to an empty house that had a for-sale sign in the yard. The four men jumped Harris immediately at the door, but they didn’t get the result they expected.

“They put a chokehold on the senator, but to no avail. They were really trying to choke him to death, and he was just too strong. He out-powered all four of them,” spokesman Sean Howard said.

“As they were all beating on him, one guy just went out of his way and really hit him hard, and Napoleon never moved. He just looked at him like Hulk Hogan, and from that the guys knew that we better get out of here, because we can’t get this guy down.”

Harris’s description of the men helped the police track them down and solve an existing open murder case in Georgia that the men had allegedly committed last month.

Harris played professional football for the Minnesota Vikings, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Oakland Raiders.
