Remember this, at the GOP convention?

Good news for everybody who booed when Ted Cruz told you to vote your conscience: He didn’t really mean it.

Juliegrace Brufke reports:

After much resistance, Sen. Ted Cruz is expected to endorse GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump as early as Friday.

Multiple sources close the former presidential hopeful confirmed after consistent talks with the Trump camp in recent weeks, the senator will throw his support behind the candidate.

And now it’s official. Lyin’ Ted has taken to Facebook and kissed the ring:

After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump.

I was never much of a Cruz guy, but I could’ve voted for him. He wasn’t the most telegenic or media-friendly or even likable candidate the GOP ever fielded, but at least he would’ve been better than Grandma. Guess now we’ll never know.

This isn’t even that disappointing, really. Probably inevitable. It was only a matter of time before he finally caved to the man who called his wife ugly and accused his dad of killing JFK.

Nonetheless, I still plan to follow the advice Ted Cruz gave us last July.

One of us has to.
