Republican Iowa Rep. Steve King took a shot at Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on Twitter Monday.
Just hours before Clinton and Donald Trump were set to square off in the first general election debate, the Iowa Republican tweeted what he thought the one question American voters would be asking following the evening’s event.
Tonight’s biggest post #debate question: Inquiring American minds will want to know,
was Hillary on her meds or off her meds?— Steve King (@SteveKingIA) September 26, 2016
“Tonight’s biggest post debate question,” King wrote. “Inquiring American minds will want to know, was Hillary on her meds or off her meds?”
King received a bevy of backlash for his joke.
@SteveKingIA Go fuck yourself with something hard and sandpapery.
