Someone finally asked what Justin Theroux thought about the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie divorce that has been swirling around in the media over the past week. Theroux, who is married to Pitt’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, had just one thing to say.

“As a child of divorce, all I can say is that’s terrible news for those children, and that’s all you can really say,” Theroux told Business Insider. (RELATED: Is This The Incident That Was The Last Straw For Angelina Jolie)

“It’s boring to sort of comment on anything else,” the actor continued. “People are having a bad time–that’s horrible.”

Aniston has remained silent about the news regarding her ex-husband’s divorce, but Theroux offered his comments in a press conference for his new movie “The Girl On The Train.” (RELATED: 13 Photos Of The Forever Stunning Jennifer Aniston’s Finest Moments)

The 45-year-old actor defended Aniston in his response as well, claiming she shouldn’t have been thrust into Pitt and Jolie’s problems.

“There’s an endless appetite for trash, apparently, though everyone would say that they don’t have that appetite,” Theroux told Business Insider.

“But there are bigger things to bitch about,” the actor continued. “It’s shocking how much bandwidth things can take up when there are far more important things going on in the world.”

Jolie is reportedly filing for sole physical custody of the couples’ six children. Despite that, Pitt is fighting for joint physical custody, according to reports.
