A chilling text sent from Eduardo Rivero shortly before the death of baseball superstar Jose Fernandez, himself and Emilio Macias is shining new light on the situation.

Rivero sent a message to a friend stating, “Trust me. It’s not my time,” when discussing going out fishing with the Miami Marlins star.

The unidentified friend also at one point in the conversation replies, “I know but try to keep Jose cool, tell him what I said.” He would soon be dead along with his two friends. (RELATED: Baseball Star Killed In Tragic Boat Crash)

A report from WPLG Local 10 News indicates that Rivero and Macias took him out on the boat because Fernandez was “stressed” and “needed to blow off steam.”

Fernandez was only 24 years old.
