A deer and a driver in New Jersey literally fought Saturday night after the wild animal was struck by the vehicle. It was all caught on a police officer’s dashboard camera.
Ellen Sager was driving her SUV when the deer crossed in front of her path. After colliding with the deer, Sager braked and then pulled to the side of the road, according to 6ABC. That is when the deer can be seen galloping from the brush on the opposite side of the road and charging the driver’s side of the vehicle.
The driver side door was open when the deer approached and the animal was able to use its head to open the door further. The deer then bucked in a seeming effort to get revenge on the driver.
Fortunately for Sager, she was able to fend off the deer and close the door. She suffered a minor injury due to the melee with the apparently irate deer.
The deer lost the battle and ultimately died from its injuries according to Howell Township Police Department.
