Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds welcomed their second child to the world Friday.
“They are so excited,” a source told Page Six of the 29-year-old actress and Reynold’s newborn. The same report said that Lively’s best pal, Taylor Swift, was heading to a Manhattan hospital to see the happy family and welcome the newest addition to their family. The actress and her husband Reynolds welcomed their first child in December 2014.
Lively said in an interview over the summer, with Marie Claire U.K. magazine, that she and Reynolds plan to raise their children out of the spotlight so they can have a “normal childhood.” (RELATED: Blake Lively Is Pregnant)
“My husband and I chose a profession and a side effect of that is your personal life is public,” Lively said. “Our child hasn’t had the opportunity to choose whether or not she wants her personal life to be public or not.”
Throughout the entire pregnancy, the actress looked stunning on red carpets promoting various events. During the Cannes Film Festival, Lively blew everyone away when she was spotted wearing a gold bejeweled full-length gown that showed off her curves.

The name and gender of Lively’s newborn has not yet been released.
