Former Miss Wisconsin Melissa Young credits Donald Trump with saving her life.

In a Friday morning interview with CNN’s Carol Costello, Young recalled the way in which a handwritten letter from Trump helped her power through her “darkest hour” and survive a near-fatal blood clot.

“That day I was actually given my last rites, and a deliveryman came to the door of the hospital and said ‘here, I have an envelope for you,'” Young explained. “It was hand written by Mr. Trump and it said ‘must be delivered by 8:00 a.m.'”

“I opened it and there was a message from him saying ‘to the bravest woman I know.’ There was — in that moment it lifted my spirits where I knew that god was not done with me yet.”

She broke down in tears while telling a crowd at a Wisconsin campaign rally how the Republican nominee helped her deal with her life-threatening illness.
