No one expected them to be friendly, and from the time the candidates arrived on stage the acrimony was clear. In a break from tradition for presidential debates, the Trump and Clinton did not shake hands when they took the stage.
Entering from opposite sides, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton came together near the center of the stage and simply exchanged looks, sort of nodding in each other’s direction before taking their seats.
