Debate moderator Martha Raddatz feuded with Donald Trump during Sunday night’s debate, interrupting Trump in the middle of an answer to offer a rebuttal.

Trump was sharply criticizing the Obama administration’s strategy in fighting ISIS and other enemies in the war on terrorism. In particular, Trump lashed out regarding the U.S.’s tendency to discuss its military plans publicly before undertaking offensive actions.

“We have announcements out of Washington and Iraq: ‘We will be attacking,'” Trump said. “Why can’t they do it quietly and do the attack and make it a sneak attack and after the attack is made inform the American public that we have knocked out the leaders and have a tremendous success. People leave. Why do they have to say we are going to be attacking mosul in four to six weeks. How stupid is our country?”

Even though Trump wasn’t out of time, Raddatz interrupted his response to offer a rebuttal to his argument.

“There are reasons the military does that. Psychological warfare,” Raddatz said. She didn’t offer a follow-up question or tell Trump his time was up, suggesting she was simply intervening to make a political argument.

Trump continued with his answer, only for Raddatz to interrupt again, demanding to know what Trump’s strategy in Syria was.
