The Dallas Stars will honor the five Dallas police officers murdered in June with a special helmet decal.

The Stars tweeted out a picture of the helmet decal for their home opener on Thursday night with the caption, “Tonight, the Dallas Stars will honor the five police officers who lost their lives in the line duty on July 7, 2016 in downtown Dallas.” (RELATED: Obama Points Finger At ‘Powerful Weapons’ For Dallas Police Attack)

Southern Methodist University, which is located in Dallas, also honored the fallen police officers prior to a football game earlier this season. (RELATED: SMU Football Will Honor The Police During Their Next Game)

Unlike the NHL, the NFL banned the Dallas Cowboys from supporting the police with a helmet decal.
