Clinton Foundation aide Doug Band appears to have complained to Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff Cheryl Mills and campaign chairman John Podesta about Hillary’s daughter Chelsea on a routine basis.

In a January 27, 2012 email that appeared on WikiLeaks Sunday as a result of a hack, Band forwarded Podesta and Mills an email from the former first daughter to himself and Clinton adviser Justin Cooper.

The younger Clinton used her email pseudonym “Diane Reynolds” and wrote to Band and Cooper:

Hi Doug and Justin – Just met Clark Winter on our BA flight and he had terrific things to say about Dad and you Doug and CGI generally and it was nice to hear as ever so I wanted to pass along. Sorry for brevity. We’re taking off. Hope alls well in Davos Justin.

In Band’s forwarded email of Chelsea’s note to Mills and Podesta, he writes:

“As they say, the apple doesn’t fall far A kiss on the cheek while she is sticking a knife in the back, and front.”

Band had previously called Chelsea in a November 12, 2011 email a “spoiled brat kid.”

The uptick in the involvement Chelsea had with her family’s foundation angered Band, especially when she began to question if Band’s consulting firm Teneo was a relationship the foundation could be damaged by.
