Howard Dean cast doubt over the latest revelations in Hillary Clinton’s ongoing email scandal Monday.
“Why would anybody suspect that the FBI had done something crooked or criminal?” the former presidential candidate told MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts. “This is nothing. This is somebody made this up.”
“This is innuendo leaked by the Russians,” he continued before Roberts corrected him.
“No, no sir. This is not WikiLeaks,” the MSNBC host shot back. “This is an unnamed FBI official who has made these documents alleging that Patrick Kennedy of wrongdoing.”
“This makes no sense to me at all,” Dean reiterated. “This sounds like late in the campaign tricks that are meaningless. There is no there, there. Where is the there?”
“It is not plausible that Patrick Kennedy would do anything to get the FBI to change the classification. This is crazy.”
