“How are you coordinating your message in your campaign on the premiums going up on Obamacare once again?” host Chris Cuomo asked the Michigan Democrat. “This seems to be the next iteration of ‘you can keep your doctor.’ The promise was premiums would go down $2,500 over time for families, and it seems to be going the wrong way.”

“OK, so am I happy about the latest news? No. None of us are,” Dingell, a Hillary Clinton supporter, responded. “It’s really hard to understand those numbers because we’re using averages, and there are 50 sets of different numbers because each state is different.”

“Cost is going up,” Cuomo stated. “How complicated is that?”

“Well, not in every state,” Dingell shot back. “I want to go straight-forwardly with you, and no law is perfect. John Dingell used to say the last perfect law was the Ten Commandments, and in today’s day and age, we probably wouldn’t even approve that.”
