Richard “Dick” Yuengling, the fifth-generation owner of the oldest brewery in America, unofficially endorsed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump Monday.

Yuengling was giving a personal tour of his eponymous Pottsville, Penn. brewery to Donald’s son, Eric Trump. Yuengling told the familial surrogate, “Our guys are behind your father. We need him in there,” according to the Reading Eagle.

Accompanied with Schuylkill County Republican leaders, Eric also had nice things to say about the brewery. “This is an amazing success story,” Eric said. “We need a lot more of these.”

Eric was stumping throughout the keystone state, speaking at a Fraternal Order of Police lodge in the state capital of Harrisburg earlier in the day.

Pennsylvania is a key battleground state for every presidential election.

“My father’s going to make it a lot easier for business to function,” Eric explained. “We’re going to do it right here in the U.S.”

Yuengling Brewery’s information technology manager, Donald “Bud” Runkle, was seen at the event carrying Trump-Pence signs.

“Donald Trump supports hard-working men and women like those in our region,” Runkle opined. “He hits home with all of us, as he does with me.”

Yuengling lager was the 19th most consumed beer in 2013, according to VinePair, ranking behind many of the usual suspects like variants of Budweiser, Coors and Miller. (RELATED: Uber, Anheuser-Busch Use Self-Driving Truck To Deliver 45,000 Cans Of ‘America’)

But now several people are taking to social media to express their intent to boycott the popular beverage.

Brian Sims, one of Pennsylvania’s first openly gay state lawmakers, wrote a fairly lengthy diatribe on Facebook.

Donald Trump is considered to be the one of the most pro-gay Republican candidates ever by many, including Gregory Angelo, president of the Log Cabin Republicans, an organization representing homosexual conservatives.

In a recent interview with The Daily Caller News Foundation, Angelo called Trump the “most pro LGBTQ nominee that Republican Party has put forth in its history,” adding that Trump “has never distanced himself from the gay community.” Angelo believes that “Orlando solidified differences the LGBT right has with the left.”

Trump is the “only one to call it [Orlando] what it was: radical Islamic terrorism,” says Angelo.

Peter Thiel, a big tech entrepreneur, is reportedly the first homosexual to ever speak at the Republican National Convention. Thiel spoke highly of Trump and is even planning on donating $1.25 million to the Republican candidate’s campaign.

Not everybody is so upset with Yuengling’s endorsement.

As Eric was leaving the brewery, Yuengling wanted to make sure he could promote the well-liked beer.

“Maybe your dad will build a hotel in Pottsville,” Yuengling said, according to the Reading Eagles. “Or, serve Yuengling in his hotels.”
